The Pigment Genuine Weld Lake by Nila Colori® is prepared by extracting the dye from Weld (Reseda luteola) plant. This is a plant largely widespread in Europe producing luteolin, a yellow colored flavone. If the coloring matter of weld is fixed on a mineral base, a yellow lake is obtained. Nila Colori® has used the traditional process followed since centuries to prepare the Pigment Genuine Weld Lake. This pigment is very transparent.
