The Pigment Genuine Vine Black by Nila Colori® is prepared by charring vine (Vitis vinifera) shoots. They are heated in almost complete absence of oxygen, so that the wood isn't transformed to ashes, but to charcoal. Vine has the properties to provide a really fine and soft carbon: this feature makes it great to be used as a pigment in fine arts. Nila Colori® has used the traditional process followed since centuries to prepare the Pigment Genuine Vine Black.
