Titanium White Extrafine Watercolor

Description

Our extrafine single pigment watercolor Titanium White is prepared with pure Titanium White inorganic mineral pigment, chemically titanium dioxide. Titanium dioxide can be found in nature in several different mineral forms. Specifically, the minerals which can be used as pigments are rutile and anatase. This pigment was prepared for the first time between 1910 and 1920: it is the products of twentieth-century technology.

Titanium White watercolor by Nila Colori, prepared with this pure pigment, is extremely lightfast, has high tinting strength, covering power and brightness. This is one of the most brilliant white color available.

Titanium White pigment is milled with just the right amount of a mixture of Kordofan gum arabic (binder) and vegetable glycerin (humectant and plasticyzer). These are the ingredients which are historically the main characters in the production of the watercolors and which give the best results regarding ease and pleasantness of painting. We don’t add any filler or any other organic compound, which might alter the color over time.
