This<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>is a\u00a0<strong>natural earth<\/strong> with a typical reddish brown color, a clay containing hematite and aluminosilicates, but no carbonates (that&#8217;s the main difference with respect to ochres). It has an <strong>historical importance<\/strong> and was used during centuries, mainly as a base before gold leafing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Extrafine Handmade Watercolor Armenian Bole<\/strong> is made in Italy by Nila Colori and is prepared with this pure pigment, is<strong>\u00a0extremely lightfast<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>semi-transparent <\/strong>and has a <strong>moderate tinting strength<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Armenian Bole<\/strong>\u00a0pigment is milled with just the right amount of a mixture of<strong>\u00a0Kordofan gum arabic<\/strong> (binder) and <strong>vegetable\u00a0glycerin<\/strong>\u00a0(humectant and plasticyzer).
