This pigment was probably already in use during the dynastic\u00a0<strong>Egypt<\/strong>, but was\u00a0<strong>rediscovered<\/strong>\u00a0in Europe towards the end of the 1700s and has been\u00a0<strong>successfull<\/strong>\u00a0since the XIX century till today.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Extrafine Handmade Watercolor Cobalt Blue<\/strong> is made in Italy by Nila Colori and is prepared with this pure pigment, is<strong>\u00a0extremely lightfast<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>semi-transparent<\/strong>, has a <strong>moderate tinting strength<\/strong>\u00a0and when dry it appears a bit lighter than wet. The\u00a0<strong>texture<\/strong>\u00a0of this watercolor is close to that of an earth: so we might call it &#8220;<strong>natural<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cobalt Blue\u00a0pigment is milled with just the right amount of a mixture of<strong>\u00a0Kordofan gum arabic<\/strong> (binder) and <strong>vegetable\u00a0glycerin<\/strong>\u00a0(humectant and plasticyzer). These are the ingredients which are historically the main characters in the production of the watercolors and which give the best results regarding\u00a0<strong>ease and pleasantness of painting<\/strong>.
