This pigment has been used since centuries in the fine arts, pure as it is or purified to obtain the natural ultramarine. We prepare it from finely powdered pure stones coming from Afghanistan, without any addition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Extrafine Handmade Watercolor Genuine Lapis Lazuli<\/strong> is made in Italy by Nila Colori and is prepared with this pure pigment, is<strong>\u00a0extremely lightfast<\/strong>, <strong>transparent <\/strong>and\u00a0has a <strong>low tinting strength<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b><strong>Genuine Lapis Lazuli<\/strong> <\/b>pigment is milled with just the right amount of a mixture of<strong>\u00a0Kordofan gum arabic<\/strong> (binder) and <strong>vegetable\u00a0glycerin<\/strong> (humectant and plasticizer). These are the ingredients which are historically the main characters in the production of the watercolors and which give the best results regarding <strong>ease and pleasantness of painting<\/strong>.
