The mineral pigment Cobalt Blue by Nila Colori is chemically a blue spinel made of cobalt aluminate. This pigment was probably already in use during the dynastic Egypt, but was rediscovered in Europe towards the end of the 1700s and has been successfull since the XIX century till today.
Cobalt Blue pigment by Nila Colori, is extremely lightfast, semi-transparent, has a high tinting strength and when dry it appears a bit lighter than wet.
