Extrafine Handmade Watercolor Potter’s Pink has been certified by the Art and Creative Materials Institute (ACMI) for its safety, complying with the standards set by ASTM D 4236.
Our Extrafine Handmade Watercolor Potter’s Pink is prepared with the inorganic mineral Potter’s Pink pigment, a delicate granulating pink pigment. It was widespread on the artists’ palettes since more than two centuries. Its name comes from the fact that it was also used as a ceramic glaze.
The Extrafine Handmade Watercolor Potter’s Pink is made in Italy by Nila Colori and is prepared with this pure pigment, is extremely lightfast, transparent and has a low tinting strength.
Potter’s Pink pigment is milled with just the right amount of a mixture of Kordofan gum arabic (binder) and vegetable glycerin (humectant and plasticyzer). These are the ingredients which are historically the main characters in the production of the watercolors and which give the best results regarding ease and pleasantness of painting. We don’t add any filler or any other organic compound, which might alter the color over time.
