Description

Our Extrafine Handmade Watercolor Manganese Violet is prepared with pure Manganese inorganic mineral pigment, chemically Manganese ammonium pyrophosphate. The pigment was prepared for the first time by the Bavarian chemist Anton Leykauf in 1868 who called it Nuernberg violet, named after his hometown.

The Extrafine Handmade Watercolor Manganese Violet is made in Italy by Nila Colori and is prepared with this pure pigment, is semi-transparent mineral purple violet, extremely lightfast.

Manganese Violet pigment is milled with just the right amount of a mixture of Kordofan gum arabic (binder) and vegetable glycerin (humectant and plasticyzer). These are the ingredients which are historically the main characters in the production of the watercolors and which give the best results regarding ease and pleasantness of painting.
