Our Extrafine Handmade Watercolor Cobalt Turquoise Deep is prepared with pure Cobalt Turquoise Deep pigment, chemically cobalt chromite.The watercolor is prepared with a pigment belonging to the family of the blue-green cobalt chromite spinels (it includes colors from cerulean to turquoise).
The Extrafine Handmade Watercolor Cobalt Turquoise Deep is made in Italy by Nila Colori and is prepared with this pure pigment, is excellent lightfastness, semi-opaque and quite intense. Someone loves to use it alone, but it’s especially useful to temper the shades of the blues which are too warm to obtain the perfect color to paint skies.
Cobalt Turquoise Deep pigment is milled with just the right amount of a mixture of Kordofan gum arabic (binder) and vegetable glycerin (humectant and plasticyzer). These are the ingredients which are historically the main characters in the production of the watercolors and which give the best results regarding ease and pleasantness of painting. We don’t add any filler or any other organic compound, which might alter the color over time.
